The Silent Generation :

First, we have the silent generation, which represents those born before 1945.

This is the generation that experienced two world wars and the great depression.

The silent generation is characterized by its sense of work and discipline. People from this generation are loyal and careful.

This is a generation that is not comfortable with technology. The object that characterizes this generation is the automobile.

The Baby Boomer Generation:

Next comes the Baby Boomers, who were born between 1945 and 1959.

While the silent generation experienced the war, the Baby Boomers experienced the post-war period, the reconstruction.

This is the generation where professionally everything was possible, so their life was centered on professional life even if family life and family values remain very important to them. This is a generation for whom belonging to a company is fundamental.

They are people who respect authority and are materialistic.

Their relationship with technology remains complex, they have had to adapt to new technological tools.

Generation X:

Generation X refers to those born between 1960 and 1979.

While the Baby Boomers have experienced a fluctuating professional period, Generation X has experienced more difficulties.

Generation X held on to their jobs because it was not a time when you could afford to lose your job.

However, unlike the Baby Boomers, Generation X no longer lives to work, but works to live. That is to say, their work allows them to live well, to have leisure and possessions.

Generation X is a stressed, ego-centric and innovative generation.

Generation Y, also known as the Millennials, represents people born between 1980 and 1999.

While previous generations did not experience technology, Generation Y was born into it. They have grown up with screens.

Generation Y is known for refusing authority, for its sociability and its nomadic side.

Unlike previous generations, generation Y is not as attached to its work. It is a generation that will change jobs several times.

Generation Y is a generation that likes to train evolving professionally.

The objects that characterize this generation are smartphones and digital tablets.

The last one, the generation Z, represents the people born after 2000.

This is a generation that has experienced terrorist attacks and global warming.

Technology completely dominates the daily life of generation Z: they can no longer do without it. This is a hyper-connected generation.

In the continuity of generation Y, generation Z is looking for more well-being at work. Work should not complicate their lives, it should be a fluid process.
